This is something I've known about for a few years now. If you're not familiar with menstrual cups, they are flexible cups made of rubber or silicone inserted into the vagina to collect menstrual blood rather than absorb like tampons and pads. They are reusable and can be worn for up to 12 hours. Menstrual cups are also more cost effective than tampons and pads because they are reusable, they benefit vaginal pH by allowing helpful bacteria and fluids to remain in the vagina rather than absorbing everything like tampons do, they allow more time than tampons between changing (up to 12 hours), they are just as easy to use as tampons, and you can even have sex with your cup inserted (personal preference). If you're thinking about trying menstrual cups, make sure you do your research on the particular brand you plan to use. If you already use menstrual cups please comment below or email me personally to let me know what you think of them. Also, check out Diva Cups which is a popular brand of menstrual cups to purchase or get more information.
