If you're a habitual drunk texter like I used to be then you need this app ASAP. Even if you don't wanna admit that you are, summer's coming and if you plan on partying and drinking, you need this app too! Now I'm not saying I plan on getting wasted all summer, but sometimes sh*t happens and i'd rather be safe than sorry! So this app stops you from drunk texting and dialing, helps you find your drunk friends who also use the app, leave breadcrumbs to track where you've been, and it also helps you find a safe ride home if you need one. I think it's only available for iPhone right now (sorry Android users) and it's free so check it out. You're welcome! 💋

"Figure out what you love doing and don't suck at, then try to figure out how to make a living doing that. Don't be scared!. . .You will never regret trying to fulfill your dream!. . ."
I know some of you are familiar with the fashion retailer Nasty Gal. You may have also heard of the owner/founder Sophia Amoruso. Now I love Nasty Gal (hate their prices sometimes!), but I didn't know much about it's beginnings until now. I came across this book on Instagram, researched it, and found so many people saying so many great things about it. The reason I call it the bible is because it's so amazingly motivational and inspirational. Sophia Amoruso started this company in 2006 as an eBay vintage seller. Before that she was a college dropout who bounced from job to job and even had a "career" as a shoplifter and dumpster diver. In her book, she talks about her awkward beginnings, her millions of bad decisions that shaped her and motivated her to start Nasty Gal. And that's exactly what she does in this book she motivates you to grab hold of your life and pursue whatever it is that makes you happy. She encourages you to be strong through trials and obstacles. What I loved most was that she is super real and honest about where she comes from and the type of person she is. She's outspoken and weird and introverted, but she gets shit done. And that 's what this books will make you wanna do after you read it. I don't wanna give everything away but seriously read this book! If you're struggling with your career or life goals, this book will motivate you. I definitely helped me in ways I didn't expect. It made me want to take a good look at what I'm doing in life, what I want to do in the future, and the steps that it's going to take to get there. It made me want to take full control of my life and be a #GIRLBOSS If you follow me on Instagram or know me in real life then you know how I feel about this woman. She is a musical legend, a style icon, and not to mention super gorgeous with a beautiful soul. She's a queen in my eyes and even 20 years after her death she still deserves recognition. Recently, a petition was started to get M.A.C. cosmetics to create a limited edition line in honor of Selena. I think this would be amazing if it actually happened. So if you love her as much as I do, click the link below to sign the petition.
Petition for Selena by M.A.C. As much as I love my natural hair, I'm back on the "creamy crack". After 3 years, I decided to end my natural hair journey for a very specific reason, my hair is extremely too thick and coarse to manage on a daily basis. Call me lazy or impatient but I just can't do it. I also never intended to become "natural". Don't get me wrong, I absolutely enjoyed the experience, but I never stopped and said "relaxers are bad I'm not gonna relax my hair anymore." When I was 20, I shaved the sides of my hair and when I was ready to grow it out I decided to wear wigs until it was back to a length I was comfortable with. So it really made no sense to relax my hair. Now when my fro was smaller and just starting to grow out, I could manage it. But as it got longer and healthier, the thickness got out of control. My mom suggested I get a texturizer to "soften" my kinks. But in all reality, texturizers are extremely similar to relaxers. So after about 6 months of going back and forth, I decided I would relax my hair again. To some this may seem like a drastic decision, but to me it's just hair. I've gone through plenty of different phases and styles with my hair and this is just another one. Will I get tired of relaxing it? Maybe. Will I wish I was natural again? Maybe. But I don't care. I might decide tomorrow that I want a short pixie cut. It's just hair! As long as my hair is healthy I can do anything I want with it and guess what? It'll grow back. Now this is not meant to discourage anyone on their natural hair journey. My experiences with my hair are specific to me! I know what my hair can and cannot withstand. I know how my hair grows and what it takes for it to be healthy. For some people relaxers just don't work and that's okay. And for others they can achieve healthy relaxed hair. You have to decide what's best for you! Don't ever let anybody try to make you feel bad about choosing to be natural or choosing to relax your hair. Even though I am no longer natural, I will be giving natural hair care tips and reviews as well as tips and reviews for those with relaxed hair. If you guys have any questions or comments, email me or leave it in the comment section. And follow me on Instagram, to see more pics of my current hair and my natural hair.
Info on the clip ins I'm wearing: 16 in. / 10 pcs set / 220g/ Link here Relaxer I used: Alter Ego Linange Shea Butter Relaxer Sad news! Recently I noticed that I'm getting stretch marks on the sides of my boobies (I guess they're finally shrinking...praise God!). So before they get out of hand, I decided to try Bio Oil. I've heard great things about this product, especially from women who have had stretch marks while being pregnant. It's also really good for scars and uneven skin tone. So like I said I will be using it to take care of the stretch marks on my boobs, and also my butt, and a couple other randoms scars (like burning myself with a black and mild *blank stare*. It says to use for a minimum of 3 months before noticing results *side eye* but I will be doing a review at the first sign of change. I bought mine at Walmart for $11.99 I think. I've also seen it at a couple local beauty supply stores, and also online. Like I said I will do a review once I start seeing results. If you're having the same problems as I am, I definitely recommend it based on the great things I've heard about it.
My May Glam Bag is here! So here's what I received: 1. Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray by Briogeo 2. Revolution High-Color Lipgloss + 24/7 glide on lip pencil by Urban Decay 3. Tapered Blending Eye Brush 205 by Luxie Beauty I do love this bag way more than my April bag! I haven't tried anything yet, but I can't wait to and I'll probably do reviews on them soon. These products have gotten great reviews from others so we'll see how much I like them. I also love the bag that the products came in! So once again I am encouraging you guys to sign up, especially if you're new to makeup or just wanna try new products. www.Ipsy.com I fell in love again (LOL) and these I absolutely have to have!! Like I seriously have to! Another designer collaboration, this one between Pony and DKNY. I've never really been a fan of Pony footwear, it's not really my style and not really my era. But thanks to my cousin and dad, I used to kill DKNY when I was younger (looking for throwback pics right now). So I have to get my hands on a pair before it's too late. And for $225 you can cop a pair too. Check them out here
This is something that I never ever expected, but it's coming (in November) whether we like it or not. There are very mixed feelings about this collaboration and I understand why. On one hand you have people (celebs, hypebeasts, scammers, etc.) who spend thousands of dollars to rock Balmain. So I guess I can understand why they're upset that soon others will be able to say they own Balmain without paying the same amount of money. But honestly, who gives a f*ck?!?! Not everyone is rich or scamming or hellbent on living above their means. There's so many things I could say to people who rock designer anything but ride public transportation every day, but that's their prerogative. I'm not spending $2,000 on anything if I don't have triple that amount in my savings account, but that's just me. And I've never really been overly excited about any of the H&M collaborations. However, to those who are don't let the haters discourage you, you work hard for your money, and you deserve to wear it just as much as anybody else!
So I heard through the grapevine that one of my favorite movies ever is being remade. I don't think a remake can live up to the original AT ALL! I hate most remakes honestly because to me they never ever do the original any justice or live up to the greatness. But I am interested to see who they're going to cast especially for the role of Nancy. I probably will watch it if and when it's finally released just to see how it compares. But I don't think it will. Some movies just aren't meant to be remade. If you love this movie as much as I do, what are your thoughts?!
