A new TV show is coming to ABC and it's inspired by the life of the queen Selena. It'll focus on a successful pop star, who has been estranged from her family for several years and now finds herself juggling her career, love life, and family secrets. As a true Selena fan I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see how it turns out. I just hope that it lives up to her legacy.
I must admit my love for Cardi B grows more and more every day (actually, it's borderline obsession at this point!). But I wasn't always feeling her. My boyfriend first showed me her IG page back when she was just a regular stripper from the Bronx posting videos with no chill. And I was sooooo annoyed! But she grew on me. She around my age, she's a Libra like me, she's half Trini (like me!), and she also doesn't give a fuck (LIKE ME!!!). And just like any other Libra she's sensitive, self-conscious, and super down to earth, but will still fuck you up if need be. But that's not what I love most about her. My love for Cardi B is simply because of the way she leveled up. Whether you respect her beginnings or not, if Cardi B doesn't motivate you to never stop the grind then you're fuckin' bugging....or a hater! Either way, she's taking the world by storm and I hope she never stops! I recently checked out her interview with Fader magazine and of course I loved it. And if after you read it and you don't love her too (or at least respect her) then idk what else to tell you! www.thefader.com/2017/06/22/cardi-b-cover-story-interview
Not only did Bey slayyyyyy in this video, she empowered us all and made me proud to be a Black Queen! She told us that she likes her baby's hair just the way it is, she shouted out big beautiful black noses, Red Lobster, and she keeps hot sauce in her purse. She let ya'll know that she is not here for that illuminati mess because she is an incredibly hard-working, talented Black woman who stacks her own paper and that's why she's successful. And last but not least she encourages black women to do the same and most importantly love ourselves. So take notes and slay like Bey!
In case you haven't heard the gawd Kanye West is releasing his next album Swish on February 11, 2016 *starts break dancing*. In honor of this announcement and because I just love Ye so much, I'm sharing his recent appearance on the season premiere of the final season of American Idol.
