So I loveeeeeeeeeee matte lipstick. . .like love to the point where it's the only kind of lipstick I wear. I hate lipsticks that are creamy or glossy or whatever you call it and I just think matte lipstick is so perfect! The problem with only wanting to wear matte lipstick is that sometimes you find a great shade that's not matte. Just when I was about to give up and purchase some non matte lipstick, I found the greatest video on Youtube.
First, let me just say that I love this bag! It's one of my favorites in a long time. So here's what I received:
1. Brazilian Keratin Deep Conditioning Treatment by Novex Haircare 2. Liquid Gossamer (liquid luminizer) by Jelly Pong Pong 3. Full Exposure Mascara by Smashbox 4. Eye Shadow (Carnival) by INSPR Beauty 5. Mini Matte Lip Crayon by tre'StiQue SUBSCRIBE SUBSCRIBE SUBSCRIBE (ipsy.com) and share what you received in your bag! Okay so who doesn't love some fresh bundles?! (I know I do!) They're so soft and bouncy with the perfect amount of shine *sigh* But bundles are supposed to be an investment and for the amount of money that you spend on them they're supposed to last for a couple installs (depending on where you order them from). Now usually I don't reuse hair. I really don't know why, I just don't. I guess I just don't have the patience for the maintenance that is required to keep your bundles looking fresh with every install. But for those of you who make sure you get your money's worth (and I envy you), here's some tips I came across for keeping your bundles alive:
To add shine back to your bundles: buy semi-permanent CLEAR hair rinse and apply it to your bundles, following the directions on the bottle. To add moisture to your dry bundles: add coconut oil or olive oil to your conditioner and deep condition under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes. If the bundles are not installed try putting them in a zip lock back and putting them in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes (if you're not sure if your bundles can handle it, try 30-second increments). To get rid of sweaty, smelly bundles: add 1 to 2 cap fulls of fabric softener to a half sink full of water and rinse your bundles in the mixture. To deal with tangling at the nape area: fill a spray bottle with warm water, add argan oil, saturate the area, take a wide paddle brush and blow dryer, and detangle the area. For fresh, clean hair: add a few scoops of baking soda to your shampoo. To revive your bundles in less than five minutes: place the hair back into bundles so it's manageable, detangle the bundles (with a brush), fill the sink with warm water, add a half cup of Clorox to the water, place the bundles in the water and rinse the bundles in an up and down motion until the cuticles become smooth. (DO NOT perform this process while the hair is still in your head!). -via Pretty Proper Hair It's not as weird as it sounds. As some of you may already know designer Tom Ford is set to release his newest Lips & Boys collection and Champagne Papi was worthy enough to be honored with his very own shade. It's rumored to be a deep burgundy color and will debut in November.
If you follow me on Snapchat or know me in real life you know that recently I've become absolutely obsessed with press on nails. Now I'm the chick that has had acrylic tips regularly since high school and can only count about 4 or 5 times that I didn't have tips on (manicures just don't do it for me). But now I find myself annoyed with the whole process of finding and keeping a consistently good nail tech who isn't always busy when you need her the most. So I needed a quick solution for my mom's wedding a couple weeks ago and I found myself taking a trip to Rite Aid and copping some Kiss french tips. I remember when I was younger, me and my sister used to beg my mom on every trip to buy us a pack that we would split. They used to have the cutest designs (or at least I thought they were cute back then). So I started thinking then I hit up google and found that press on nails are not what they used to be. A lot of them are now designed the way you would expect your city's best nail tech to for a fraction of the price, minus the hassle, and most importantly the damage to your nails that acrylic does. I probably will get back to acrylic tips eventually but for now I'm riding this press on nail train til the wheels fall off (don't judge me!).
Yup you read that correctly. . .vagacial. . .a facial for your vagina. . . .. . .yea. For those of you who have never heard of this (like me a few weeks ago) your probably a little weirded out (like I was). Apparently this is an actual thing that became popular a few years ago and supposedly has real benefits. Today a number of spas across the country offer this treatment which is supposed to aid in the prevention/removal of ingrown hairs and acne, while smoothing and revitalizing skin and treating discoloration. In other words it's supposed to make your kitty glow. It is recommended after waxing so if your one of the brave ones (not me!) who actually endure that torture this may be something you want to consider. The first step involves cleansing the area (usually with witch hazel). Next, an exfoliating scrub is applied which is followed by removing any ingrown hairs. Finally, a cream mask is applied and then a moisturizer. So this procedure isn't really as weird as it sounds. Pretty much similar to an actual facial. Not sure if I would ever get one but it caught my attention and it's obviously popular (just google it and see). There's even tutorials on how to DIY at home! Comment below with your thoughts on this, especially if you have ever gotten one because I am somewhat fascinated by this and want to hear your experience.
